A Study on the Cosmetics Purchases Behavior of Women in their 30s and 40s - Focused on Container Packaging -

This study investigated the purchasing preferences of women in their 30s and 40s focusing on package design for female cosmetics in Chon-An city. The subjects of this study were 91 consumers of beauty counters, who were asked to respond to the questions on the purchase channel, purchase motive, packaging superiority, preference propensity etc. With this study, it can be said that package design is an effective factor on purchasing of female cosmetics. Most consumers prefer to practical and useful package design. And it is found that there is a little difference in purchasing preferences by their academic background and job. Especially, they considered the environmental friendliness and new function of cosmetic package.
