Park Seonseok is one of the distinguished features in the history of Korean Chinese minority(chaoxianzu) literature. started in 1980s, he is the one who consistently has been writing novels in the field over the thirty years. From the perspective of ordinary people, he severly criticized on the political change of contemporary Chinese society and also reflected of the life of farmers on the effect of the historical change of Korean Chinese rural community on his novels. Therefore, his novels obtained enthusiastic responses from enormous readers. Hitherto, rarely has the biased recognition and comprehension on his literature been problematized, the purpose of this paper is to examine his most beloved two novels, Sseun-us-eum and Jaehae, on the basis of how to read and analyze Park Seonseok Syndrome when Korean Chinese society entered the late capitalist society during 1990s since China's reform and opening up(gaige kaifang) era. In addition to the process, I investigate the mass psychology of the Korean Chinese community in a transition from fluctuation of Chinese modern and contemporary history to the era of reform and opening up.

박선석은 중국 조선족문학사상 매우 특징적인 작가의 한 사람이다. 그는 1980년에 등단하 여 지금까지 30여 년간 조선족 문단에서 가장 지속적으로 꾸준하게 글을 써 온 몇 안 되는 다산작가중의 한 사람이다. 박선석은 대중의 시각으로 당대 중국사회의 정치변동에 대한 날카로운 비판과 조선족 농 촌공동체의 역사적 변천과 농민들의 삶에 대한 진지한 성찰을 소설 속에 담아냈다. 때문에 수 많은 독자들의 열광적인 호응을 얻었다. 본 논문은 지금까지 박선석 문학에 대한 편향된 인식과 이해를 문제 삼고 1990년대에 들어 중국이 후기 자본주의 사회에 진입할 때 조선족 사회에서 나타난 ‘박선석 현상’에 주목하여 개혁개방이후 조선족 사회에서 대중들로부터 가장 많은 사랑을 받은 소설인 박선석의 대표작 -<쓴웃음>, <재해>에 대한 대중적 호응의 양상과 의의에 대해 고찰했다.
