It is original and examined whether poet's work formation background and poetic departure meter are what to Kim Jong-sam. Also, examined whether those were undergone a change by some language realization and expression aspect and were continued. Actual suffering that is connected by war and branch, displaced home and death forms tragic view of the world such as death and absence consciousness and attempted only oneself inner writing in poet's consciousness. For description of memory's shape process, past memory has present and meaning that is present brilliant talent through Linked image of past. This showed image that experience and memory which is showed in poet's consciousness are changed as ‘continued past’ within work. Simultaneity of such experience and memory is partial and show ‘changed text’ that fragmented past memories forth-come by memories of form differing through complete cure in actuality. Poet's character language expression method detected in work had opened flowing of civil services that pursued modeling of image and new attempt of language and is new in poetry creation inclination after the war. Poet expresses memories of life and experience that was unfortunate that is connected of experience and dismemberment, poverty of the war and disease within present life and formed the world at only oneself is individual unique time. Past life and experience of ‘Memory’ are the question about present life and confidence in Kim Jong-sam. Together, there is sense in terms of it was another groping and attempt for actuality conquest that internalized self dreams.

본고는 김종삼 시를 대상으로 시인의 작품을 이루는 과거의 기억과 체험이 기억형상화 양 상을 통해 지속, 변모되는 과정을 살펴보았다. 전쟁과 분단, 실향과 죽음으로 이어지는 현실 세계의 고통은 시인의 의식 속에 죽음과 부 재의식 등과 같은 비극적 세계인식을 형성하며 자신만의 내면화된 글쓰기를 시도하였다. 과거 의 기억이 현재와 연결된 회상이미지를 통해 현재화된 의미를 지니는 기억 형상화의 과정은 시인의 의식 속에 내재되어 있는 체험과 기억이 작품 속에서 현재화되어 ‘지속된 과거’로 변화 되는 모습을 보여주었다. 이러한 체험과 기억의 동시간성은 부분적이고 단편화된 과거의 기억 들이 현실에서의 자리바꿈을 통해 다른 형태의 기억으로 떠오르는 ‘전이된 텍스트성’을 드러 낸다. 한편 기억형상화의 서술 방법에 있어서 시인의 내면 의식과 언어표현 양상은 생략과 암 시, 이미지의 병치와 서술 구조의 변형 등과 같은 언어적 기법을 통해 암시적이고 비유적이며 초현실적으로 나타난다. 작품에 드러나는 시인의 개성적 언어표현 방식은 이미지의 조형과 언어의 새로움을 추구 하며 전후의 시단에 새로운 서정의 흐름을 열어 놓았다. 이 같은 언어 표현 양상은 기억의 왜곡과 리얼리티 부족, 지나친 생략과 암시로 시적 감동의 전이를 약화시켰다는 지적도 따른 다. 하지만 시인은 전쟁의 체험과 분단, 가난과 질병으로 이어지는 불우했던 삶과 체험의 기억 들을 현재적 삶 속에서 형상화하며 자신만의 개성적이고 독창적인 시 세계를 구축하였다. 김 종삼 시에서 ‘기억’은 과거의 삶과 체험으로부터 이어지는 현재적 삶에 대한 물음과 확신이자 내면화된 자아가 꿈꾸는 현실극복을 위한 또 다른 모색과 시도였다는 점에서 의의가 있다.
