The regional export plays an important role in regional economic growth. This paper is focusing on analyzing how the export affects on regional economy in Chungbuk province. This study used input-output analysis to describe the relation between export and regional economy. To analyze, I estimated "Chungbuk Input-Output Table" that contain 'production inducement coefficient', 'added value inducement coefficient' and 'employment inducement coefficient'. The Chungbuk's major export industry that 'manufacture of electricㆍelectronic', 'chemical products', 'precision instruments' have low ripple effect. These industry depend on outside for intermediate input goods. It was found that the export effect on service industry was higher than manufacturing industry. The 'production inducement coefficient' of service industry was 1.242, while manufacturing industry was 1.237. The 'added value inducement coefficient' of service industry was 0.343, while manufacturing industry was 0.707. The 'employment inducement coefficient' of service industry was 17.1, while manufacturing industry was 5.7. The effect on production inducement was highest in 'coal and petroleum products'. The 'added value inducement effect' was highest in 'education and human health industry'. The Export prompted the largest employment in 'agriculture and fishing industry'.

수출은 우리나라 경제성장에 큰 역할을 해왔으나 많은 연구가 국가단위에서 이루어지고 있고 지역수출에 대한 연구는 미흡하다. 따라서 본 연구는 지역수출의 경쟁력과 지역경제에 미치는 영향을 충북을 중심으로 지역산업연관표를 작성하여 살펴보았다. 무역특화지수로 살펴본 충북수출의 경쟁력은 전기전자, 정밀기기, 수송장비 산업에서 수출특화가 이루어지고 있으며, 현시선호지수는 전기전자, 금속제품, 정밀기기 산업에서 경쟁력이 있는 것으로 분석되었다. 산업연관분석을 통해 살펴본 충북 수출의 특징으로는 첫째, 전기ㆍ전자, 화학제품, 정밀기기 등 주요 수출산업이 낮은 지역경제 파급효과를 나타냈다. 둘째, 제조업보다 서비스업의 파급효과가 더 크게 나타났다. 생산유발계수는 서비스업이 제조업보다 조금 높게 나타났으나 부가가치는 서비스업이 제조업에 비해 약 2배, 취업유발은 약 3배 높은 파급효과를 나타냈다.. 셋째, 단일 산업으로 지역내 생산유발이 가장 큰 산업은 ‘석유 및 석탄’, 부가가치 유발은 ‘교육 및 보건’, 취업은 ‘농림어업’으로 분석되었다. 1단위의 수출 증가는 1.212의 생산유발과 0.326의 부가가치, 그리고 10억원 당 5.28명의 취업유발효과가 있는 것으로 분석되었다.
