영어

Kant has suggested reliability composed of summonability and efficaciousness as the necessary conditions of being a moral motive. According to his claims, duty is always summonable and reliable, therefore the only moral motive, emotions are not summonable and reliable, so not a moral motive. But his claim that to be always summonable is to be a moral motive, to be sometimes summonable is to not be a moral motive is a totally unfounded allegation. And he has claimed that duty is summonable to all the rational human beings, but this claim is unfounded. For the rational human beings do not and can't consider what is to be right or wrong, and do not summon a sense of duty to perform a right action and are able to act against a sense of duty in a lot of cases. And the efficaciousness is a matter of effect to make a moral motive to lead to moral action. Duty takes large effects, so is able to be the only moal motive. But a sense of duty is unable to suppress the strong contrary dispositions, rather emotions are able to put up with the contrary dispositions. Even if one has the strong egoistic dispositions, one can help others from sympathy or love. Emotions involve cognitive dimension. So altruistic emotions are enough reliable to be a moral motive. The altruistic emotions are directed toward others' weal and woe, and are able to lead to moral beneficence to bring about others' good. The moral beneficence motivated by emotions is more reliable than the moral action of beneficence from duty motive. And Kant's claim is that only the action motivated by duty as a moral motive has a moral worth. and it is that altruistic emotions have worth, not moral worth. It is true of not having a sense of duty to have emotions or to act from duty. Though what is unable to be as objects of duty has a human relevance, it does not have a moral relevance. However. duty is not a heart of matter of morality. The altruistic emotions, for example sympathy, compassion, and concern for others involved in their goods -weal and woe- can have a moral worth
