In accordance with the recent university environment, universities are taking charge of counseling students with practical behavior of career preparation. The purpose of this study is to form correlation among the career barrier, career identity and career preparation behavior of university students who majoring accounting. It tested individual variables which are rooted in social cognitive career theories. In order to attain the objective of this study, I reviewed related theories and previous research and empirical was conducted. The results were summarized as follows. Through previous studies, it has shown that career barriers and career identity were perceived as signifiant variables for career preparation behavior. The population for this study is composed of male and female students who majoring accounting and attending university which is located in GyeongGi-do. 300 questionnaires distributed and 203 questionnaires were used for this study among 233copies and 30copies were reduced for a lower reliability. The significance of this study can be summarized. First, career barriers of university students in the department of accounting showed a meaningful negative correlation with career identity. Second, career identity of university students in the department of accounting showed a meaning positive correlation with career preparation behavior. Third, this study showed that career identity mediated the effect of career barriers on career preparation behavior.

본 연구는 기존연구와 차별화하여 사회인지적 진로이론의 관점에서 개인적 특성을 고려하여 대학의 회계학과 학생의 진로장벽이 진로정체성과 진로준비행동에 미치는 영향을 규명함으로써, 회계학과 특성에 부합되는 효과적이고 적절한 진로의 지향점을 찾아가는 준거의 틀을 제시하고자 하였다. 진로장벽, 진로정체성과 진로준비행동의 관계를 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 진로장벽은 진로정체성에 부(-)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 직업정보부족 장벽, 자기명확성부족 장벽이 클수록 진로정체성은 낮아지는 것으로 나타났다. 이와 같은 결과는 진로장벽이 진로정체성에 매우 의미 있는 영향을 미치고 있음을 나타내고 있다. 즉, 진로장벽이 크게 느껴질 때 진로정체성은 악화된다고 할 수 있다. 그러므로 회계학과 학생들이 진로정체성을 높게 인식할 수 있도록 진로동기를 강화하여 진로장벽을 잘 극복할 수 있도록 도와주어야 할 것이다. 둘째, 대학의 회계학과 학생의 진로정체성이 진로준비행동에 미치는 영향에서는 모든 하위요인에 대하여 진로정체성이 진로준비행동에 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 진로정체성이 높을수록 진로준비행동에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것을 알 수 있으며, 진로정체성의 형성수준이 높을수록 진로준비행동에도 적극적이고 긍정적인 경향을 보이고 있다는 것이다. 따라서 학생들이 진로에 대한 정체감을 잘 형성하도록 도와주는 것이 중요하다. 셋째, 진로장벽, 진로정체성, 진로준비행동의 인과관계를 분석결과, 진로장벽이 진로준비행동에 직접적인 효과를 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 간접효과는 진로장벽이 진로정체성을 통해 진로준비행동에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.
