Purpose of this study is to provide plans for revitalizing business education which will cultivate people with appropriate core competency for the transitioning policies of competency education and an advent of nomadic civilization era. Findings of this study can be summarized as follows. First, this study proposes several proposals in reformation of education’s perspective, such as: expanding education course, securing autonomy of education course, reforming system of supporting employment, reforming education of cultural subjects, major subjects and practical subjects, strenghthening humanistic education, and reforming teaching-learning method. Second, in the perspective of systemic reformation, this study suggests diversifying opportunities for line employment after further study, systematizing connected education for expanding continuing education, and reforming personnel system and way of fulfilling military service. Third, in the perspective of reforming consciousness, this study suggests shifting from education centered thinking to capacity centered thinking and changing negative cognition toward vocational high schools. These findings will contribute to policy developing or system reformation for revitalization of Korea’s business education. However, this study has its limit due to lacking actual proof analysis and just doing literature analysis.

이 연구의 목적은 이동문명시대의 도래와 직업교육 정책 전환의 시대에 적합한 직업기초능력을 갖춘 인재를 양성하기 위한 상업교육의 활성화방안을 제시하는 것이다. 연구목적 달성을 위해 이 연구는 선행연구와 관련 문헌 들을 조사하였다. 연구결과 상업교육의 활성화 방안을 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 교육개혁의 관점에서는 교육과정의 자율성 확보, 교양 교과 교육의 개혁, 전공 교과 교육의 개혁, 실기실습 교육의 개혁, 취업지원체제의 개혁, 인성교육의 강화, 교수학습방법의 개혁을 제시하였다. 둘째, 제도개혁의 관점에서는 취업후 진학 기회의 다양화, 계속교육 확대 차원에서 연계교육의 체계화, 인사제도와 병역이행방안의 개혁을 제시하였다. 셋째, 의식개혁의 관점에서는 학력중심에서 능력중심으로의 개혁, 실업계 고교에 대한 부정적 인식의 개혁을 제시하였다. 위와 같은 연구결과는 우리나라 상업교육 활성화를 위한 정책개발이나 제도개혁에 공헌할 것으로 기대된다. 다만, 본 연구는 실증분석을 하지 못한 문헌적 연구로서의 한계가 있다.
