In our society, on the one hand disabled women are discriminated against because of bias toward people with disabilities, but on the other they are discriminated against because of bias toward women. They are ‘the weak people of weak people’. They lose their right of woman as well as of human. They are the most disadvantaged people as the social weak. This study looked into and understood disabled women's living condition of education, marriage, employment and found the possibility helping disabled women through theological consideration in the field of pastoral counseling. So, this study shows that pastoral counseling must play a role in growing disabled women's problem solving ability and in helping their mental to mature and in providing opportunities for one to one meeting with God. I suggested the principle of Pastoral counseling which can help the disabled women. As the theory supporting this principle I selected the C. S. Bohler's theory which treated women's problems in terms of pastoral counseling. She insists that the social system and culture should be changed in order to solve the problems of women, who belong to anther isolated class like the disabled in this society. Agreeing with her opinion I proposed the principle of Pastoral counseling for the disabled women. The Pastoral counseling for the disabled women is the process to seek for the ultimate answer of life. In Pastoral counseling, we have to not only pay attention to solve the problems but also focus on the true recovery of relation between God and the disabled women. Also, it would be effective for Pastoral counselors themselves to undergo certain courses for widening the understanding of the disabled women, because, through these courses, they can encourage the disabled women to understand themselves and to discover their possibility of development, and they can lead society and culture to change into acceptance. At last, the Pastoral counseling for the disabled women requires a counselor to change herself along with an applicant, in situation of our society and our church where the culture of discriminating against the disables still exists.

우리 사회에서 여성 장애인은 장애에 대한 편견과 여성이라는 이중의 잣대로 차별을 받으며 사람으로뿐 아니라 여성으로서 당연히 누려야 할 권리를 갖지 못한 채 가장 소외된 사회적 약자로 살아가는 즉 ‘약자 중의 약자’에 속한다고 볼 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 교육, 결혼, 취업 문제 등 여성 장애인이 직접 몸으로 실감하는 상황을 살펴보고 이해함과 더불어 신학적 고찰을 통하여 목회상담 영역에서 여성 장애인을 도울 수 있는 가능성을 찾아보았다. 그리하여 여성 장애인들이 당면하고 있는 문제의 해결 능력을 배양시킬 뿐만 아니라 여성 장애인의 심리적 성숙을 돕고 한 걸음 더 나아가 문제 해결과 더불어 그들로 하여금 하나님과 일 대 일로 만나는 기회를 제공하는 역할을 목회상담이 해야 한다는 필요성을 가지며 연구를 진행 하였다. 그 연구의 결과로 여성 장애인을 도울 수 있는 목회상담의 원리를 제시하였다. 이 원리를 뒷받침 하는 이론으로는 여성의 문제를 목회상담의 입장에서 다룬 C. S. Bohler의 이론을 선택했다. 그녀는 이 사회에서 장애인과 같이 소외 받고 있는 또 다른 계층인 여성의 문제를 해결하기 위해서는 사회적 구조와 문화를 바꿔야 한다는 주장을 하였다. 따라서 연구자는 Bohler의 주장에 동의하며 그녀의 이론을 참조하여 여성 장애인을 위한 목회상담의 원리를 제시하였다. 여성 장애인을 위한 목회상담은 궁극적인 삶의 해답을 찾아나가는 과정으로 제기된 문제의 해결에도 관심을 가져야 할 뿐만 아니라 하나님과 그들 사이의 진정한 관계 회복에 더 역점을 두어야 한다. 또한 목회 상담자 자신이 여성 장애인에 대한 이해를 넓히는 과정을 겪으면, 그들과의 상담에 효과적이 된다. 이는 여성 장애인을 이해하고, 자신의 발전 가능성을 발견하고 그것을 인정하는 체제와 문화로 변화되도록 안내하고 격려할 수 있기 때문이다. 결국, 아직도 장애인에 대한 차별 문화가 존재하는 우리 사회나 교회의 상황에서 여성 장애인에 대한 목회상담은 상담자도 내담자와 함께 변화되도록 초청하는 상담이다.
