This paper is to analyze recent Mongolian domestic politics by focusing on both general and presidential elections since the Mongolian Democratization. After Democratization, Mongol has experienced two constitutional reforms which has resulted from establishing short-lived multi-party system. However, the Mongolia established multi-party democracy through the election and many political powers were repeatedly reorganizing themselves after democratization. Therefore, it is necessary to understand the political change of Mongolia focusing the general election and the presidential election. Moreover, it is important to prospect the future Mongolian political change through these analysis. In particular, we have to find the effective countermeasure of economy and diplomacy toward Mongolia. We are necessary to introspect the history and culture of Mongolia. Also, Mongolia is one of the nearest states to Korea and is very important in the politics and the diplomacy considering the rapidly changing situation of Northeast Asia including the South Korea and the North Korea. In economic aspect, Mongolia is very important allowing for the scarcity of resource and the small territory of Korea. Then, Mongolia and Korea are very interrelated in the history, the culture and the emotion. Consequently, we have to contribute to the suggestion of political countermeasure in the relation between Mongolia and Korea through the multi-analysis of Mongolian politics and Mongolian area.

이 글의 목적은 몽골 정치의 변화 중 현대 몽 골 정치의 시작이라고 할 수 있는 민주화 이후 의 몽골 정치의 변화를 총선과 대선을 중심으로 분석하고, 몽골 정치권에 대해 세밀히 파악하 여, 대 몽골 정치, 외교정책 수립에 기여하는 것 에 있다. 큰 틀에서 민주화 이후 몽골의 정치체제는 두 번의 헌법 개정 외에 큰 변화는 없다. 하지만 몽골은 민주화 이후 다당제가 되면서 많은 정치 세력들이 이합집산하게 되고, 이것은 선거를 통 해 이루어 졌다. 그래서 민주화 이후 치러진 총선과 대선을 중심으로 몽골의 정치적인 변화를 살펴볼 필요가 있다. 그리고 앞선 분석들을 통 해 현재와 앞으로의 몽골의 정치 변화를 전망해 보고자 한다. 특히 2012년의 몽골총선과 현몽골정치 상황의 다각적인 분석을 통해 몽골에 대한 실제적인 외교적, 경제적 대응 방안을 모색 해야 한다. 몽골은 우리에게 역사적으로 문화적으로 깊 이 성찰해 볼 필요가 있는 민족이자 국가이다. 또한 현대의 몽골은 우리의 가장 가까운 이웃 국가 중 하나로 남·북한 관계를 포함해 급변하는 동북아의 정세를 감안하면 정치·외교적으로도 매우 중요한 국가임에 틀림없으며, 자원이 부족하고 국토가 좁은 우리에게는 경제적으로 도 매우 중요한 지역이라는 것이다. 또한 이렇 게 중요한 국가가 역사적으로 정서적으로 문화 적으로 한국과 매우 밀접한 관계에 있다는 점이 매우 특별하다. 몽골의 정치를 기본으로 하여 앞으로 다각적인 측면에서 몽골지역을 분석하여 향후 한국과 몽골의 관계에 있어서 중요한 정책적 대안을 제시하는 것에 노력하고자 한다.
