In this study, the 4-aminothiophenol (ATP)/gold nanodot modified electrode was fabricated for determination of purine bases. First, gold nanodot patterned ITO electrode was fabricated by thermal evaporation through polystyrene bead monolayer. Then, poly-ATP was polymerized on ITO surface by electrochemical method. After finishing fabrication of modified electrode, electrochemical property of adenine and guanine mixture was detected by differential pulse voltammetry. The results showed linear relation between concentrations and oxidation current peaks of both adenine and guanine. Therefore, our newly developed modified electrode could be suggested to high sensitivity simultaneous detection of purine bases in the related physiology process.
