The purpose of this study was to figure out about retirement of female Taekwondo athletes and find out main factors of their career barriers after retirement for providing academic data and helping career of retired female Taekowndo athletes. In order to achieve the objectives following three research questions were set. First, what was main causes of retirement and what have done before retirement for their career? Second, what kind of career barriers experienced and recognized after retirement or in their new job? Third, what are things need to overcome career barriers? To specify this study, establishing a theoretical framework of reference through a documentary records prior to data collection, to precede series of study methods. Qualitative methodology was selected as the most appropriate study method for this study. Study participants consist of 8 female Taekwondo athletes who got monthly pay by their own team. Participants were selected by convenience sampling method. In-depth interview was used to get truthful result and In-depth interview had done by semi structured questionnaire to get information deeply. Before beginning interview, I explained in full about study and received written consent. E-mail, phone call, text massage and data collection were used as a assistant method and all of datal collection method persisted until data saturation. This study was analyzed by inductive content analysis, triangulation analysis method and experts consultation. Conclusions are as followed. First, there were physical and mental structure effect to the process of retirement. Physical effect consists of injury, worse physical strength and worse athletic performance, injury was the most determinative factor among those reasons. Anxiety of the future, loosing goal, to get stable job and pressure founded as factors of mental. Almost female athlete couldn’t prepare after retiring and some of them prepared their future to go graduate school and get certification. Second, there were 8 career barrier categories founded after retirement and in the new job. In case of marriage female, they recognized baby care is the most difficult thing and single women also thought marriage and baby care will be the most difficult challenge for their career. Also study absence, lack of career information, personal relationship, stereotypes and discrimination against women, anxiety for the future and age were founded as result. Third, retired female Taekwondo athletes were answered what things need for their career. There are self-development, change cognition, career counselling, guarantee right of study, rule of instructors and teams, establish a network and institutional help.
