This study intended to find out the relationship of the effect of using music during taekwondo poomsae on self-efficacy and adaptation to school of elementary student through an empirical study. As of now in 2012, 32 students in 3rd grade each from A elementary school and C elementary school in B-gu of Busan for the total of 64 students were used in analysis. t-test was conducted on the collected data to find a significant difference between the experiment group and the control group using SPSS 17.0 Version, and to find out the difference between groups per factor, MANOVA was conducted, and as the result, the following conclusion was drawn. First, in the test for self-efficacy between the control group and the experiment group which executed taekwondo poomsae training program using music for 13 weeks, the experiment group was found to have a higher level of self-efficacy than the control group. Second, in the test for adaptation to school between the control group and the experiment group which executed taekwondo poomsae training program using music for 13 weeks, the experiment group was found to have a higher level of adaptation to school than the control group. Third, as the result of comparing the level of self-efficacy between the pre-test and post- test, the level of self-efficacy was found to be overall increased after the music poomsae training. The control group did not show a significant difference between before/after. Fourth, as the result of comparing the level of adaptation to school between the pre-test and post-test, the level of adaptation to school was found to be overall increased after the music poomsae training. The control group also showed an increase in adaptation to school even after just a general poomsae training.
