The evaluation of bending and toughness on lengh of amorphous metal fiber in fiber mixed concrete

This study aims to assess flexure toughness of amorphous metal fiber reinforced concrete and to develop high performance concrete. Three types of fiber length, 10㎜, 15㎜, 30㎜, were used in the mixture at the 0.5% of gross volume for each mixture. The amorphous metal-fiber mixed concrete was cured for 3, 7, 28days each other and compressive strength test(KS F 2405) and bending test(KS F 2408) were performed. As a additional test, toughness index method was carried out according to ASTM C 1609 for concrete performance assessment. compressive strength test showed little influence on concrete without mix rate of fiber length. In bending test, the value of strength increased. we could notice that the concrete with 15 mm has high energy absorbance. Flexural toughness index assessment showed that 15mm fiber mixed concrete has higher energy absorbance than each any other fiber lengths.
