Cold area is the area with developed economy and large populations, the energy consumption of heating in winter and cooling in summer is very serious. Due to the features of low technology, low price, and integrate with building easily, passive design becomes a feasible strategy to reduce the consumption. Thus, the research on passive design in cold region is very important both theoretically and practically.
