The purpose of this research confirms the relationship between the self-regulation learning ability and Gifted Education Programs of the scientifically gifted students. This research conducted a survey of 25 students of 7th and 8th grades who are enrolled in the biological science class in Science Education Institute for the Gifted at Andong National University. We carried out the correlation analysis between the self-regulation learning ability and gifted education programs. Selfregulation learning ability was measured using a “ Self-regulated Learning Inventory Instrument”and the performance level of gifted education programs was measured the results of academic performance of 1 year. Based on the results, the students showed the high average of motivation, and the goal orientation of motivation and the elaboration of recognition strategy turned out the welldeveloped relationship. And the performance level of Gifted Education Program is correlated with the motivation of Self-regulation learning ability. Therefore, the performance level of Gifted Education Programs would be improved with the support of the motivationenhanced program for the self-regulation learning ability of gifted students of middle school.

본 연구의 목적은 과학영재의 자기조절학습능력과 영재교육프로그램 수행수준 을 확인하는데 있다. 이를 위해 안동대학교부설 과학영재교육원에 선발되어 영재교육을 받고 있는 중학교 1,2학년 생물과학반 영재학생 25 명을 대상으로 연구를 실시하였다. 영재의 자기조절학습능력과 영재교육프로그램 수행수준을 상관분석 하였다. 자기조절학습능력은 검사지를 이용하여 측정하였고 영재교육프로그램 수행수준은 1년간의 학업성취도를 종합적 으로 평가한 결과를 수치화하여 측정하였다. 연구 결과, 연구대상 학생들은 자기조절학습능력은 동기차원의 평균 점수가 가장 높았고 동기차원의 목표지향성과 인지전략의 정교화능력 사이의 상관이 가장 높게 나타났으며, 영재 교육프로그램 수행수준은 자기조절학습능력의 동기차원과 높은 상관관계를 가진다. 그러므로 영재의 자기조절학 습능력을 향상시킬 수 있는 동기차원 강화 프로그램을 제공한다면 중등 과학영재의 영재교육 프로그램 수행수준 도 향상시킬 수 있을 것이다.
