Effects of Enzyme Warm Bath(Fermented Rice Bran Hot Padding) on Overweight Female’s Body Fat

This study examined the efficacy of an enzyme warm bath (fermented rice bran hot padding) on body fat components, waist, and buttock and attempts to contribute to obesity management. The total number of 37 overweight females who were more than 23 kg/m3 of BMI. They participated in enzyme warm baths more than 10 times and conducted for 12 weeks. The measurements were conducted after and before the enzyme warm bath, their body components such as, body weight, lean body mass, body fat mass, BMI, abdominal fat percentage were measured by using a body fat analyzer (InBody 330). The results are as followings. The body fat, abdominal fat, body weight and waist was significantly reduced (p<0.05). The size of right arm, left arm, and buttock was reduced (p<0.05). Therefore, the enzyme warm bath is effective in reducing the body fat, abdominal fat percentage, the size of the abdomen and buttock.
