This article aims to establish the basic directions for making Life and Ethics subject's evaluation items according to the revision of Ethics subject in 2014 College Scholastic Ability Test. Along with the revised curriculum and the alteration in 2014 College Scholastic Ability Test, Life and Ethics subject becomes included in the part of social studies. It is positive that most of the future test-takers chose Life and Ethics however, there are also bulging problems such as the matter of discrimination, items overlapped in Ethics and Thought, and differentiation with Society and Culture subject. Thereupon, this researcher intends to suggest the basic directions for developing evaluation items in the College Scholastic Ability Test in order to overcome the problems shown in the process of making evaluation items and solidify the identity of Life and Ethics subject. To attain the goal, first, this study examined the revision of Ethics subject in 2014 College Scholastic Ability Test, its influence on Life and Ethics subject, and the characteristics of Life and Ethics subject related with the College Scholastic Ability Test, and based on this, the last chapter proposes the basic principles and directions to develop Life and Ethics evaluation items.

본 논문의 목적은 2014학년도 도덕과 수능 시험의 개편과 이에 따른 『생활과 윤리』평가 문항출제의 기본 방향을 정립하는 데 있다. 2011 개정 교육과정과 2014학년도 수능 시험의 개편에 따른 고2 예비 수험생들을 대상으로 치룬 세 차례의 전국연합학력평가에서 『생활과 윤리』과목이 가장 높은 선택율을 보였다. 이러한 상황은 도덕과 발전에 긍정적 요인으로 발전할 가능성이 높지만, 변별력의 확보와 『윤리와 사상』과 중복된 문항 출제 그리고 『사회문화』과목과의 차별성문제 등은 장기적인 관점에서 도덕과 발전을 위해 반드시 해결해야 할 과제가 되었다. 이에 본 연구자는 도덕 교육의 발전을 위해서는 수능 시험에서 『생활과 윤리』의 교과 정체성을 확고히 하는 평가 문항을 출제해야 한다고 보고 대학수학능력시험에서의 『생활과 윤리』평가 문항 출제의 기본 방향을 제시하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 먼저 2014년 도덕과 수능 시험의 개편 내용과 이것이 『생활과 윤리』과목에 주는 변화 그리고 수능 시험과 관련한 『생활과 윤리』과목의 특징이 무엇인지 살펴보고 이를 바탕으로 『생활과 윤리』평가 문항 출제의 기본 원리와 방향을 제안하고자 하였다.
