The purpose of this study was to review the articles for the current state and the normative study of occupational therapy assessment tools.
This study reviewed the two articles for the current state occupational therapy assessment tools and eight articles for the normative study of occupational therapy assessment tools in the journal of the Korean society of occupational Therapy from 1993(Vol.1 No.1) to 2008(Vol 16. No.2).
When compared with the two articles for the current state occupational therapy assessment tools, the results of the most frequently used tools showed a little change and the number of tools is increasing. The eight articles for the normative study of occupational therapy assessment tools was related to assessment tools and measurement of hand grip and pinch strength. However almost the articles for the normative study of occupational assessment tools was limited in the number of sample, the results of studies might not generalize.
The results of the studies, provisions of more extended educational opportunities would promote the use of a greater variety of standardized assessment tools by korean occupational therapists.
