The rehabilitation paradigm has tried to promote and enhance the ability of specific function of the people with disabilities, but the outcome of rehabilitation have been truly unsatisfied. As a result, increasing number of individuals, particularly among the most severely disabled, have become disaffected and have sought an alternative paradigm. According to Independent Living paradigm, the problem does not reside in the individual alone but often the solution offered by the rehabilitation paradigm-the dependency inducing features of the physician-patient or professionals-client relationship.
In this study, from the viewpoint of the Independent Living paradigm, the services provided by the Center for Independent Living for the people with disabilities were evaluated. It is necessary to develop as well as spread programs in relation to services for independent living for them.
Consequently, as all the persons concerned make efforts work hard with macro prospective, the disabled as consumer in this society can live independently, having their undoubted rights.
