The purpose of this study was to examine ski patrol who relates with an accident from the sking ground and who is the person responsible for the accident. In order to discuss about the general task of ski patrol, we made sure the official duty of ski patrol. The first duty of the ski patrol is accident prevention activity. The second duty is temporary disposal. The third one is confirmation and preservation of site. Last, record, maintenance and report is required. The task accomplishment of the ski patrol contributes in the development of ski resort environment and the ski itself. For the development of ski, as a sport which is popularized, there is required the change of attitude about the responsibility which include legal authority of the ski patrol and the institutional preparation for a moral cultivation.

이 연구의 목적은 스키장에서 안전사고와 관련하여 중요한 업무를 수행하고 있는 스키구조요원(이하 ‘스키패트롤’이라 함)의 임무에 대하여 고찰하는 것이었다. 전반적인 스키패트롤에 대하여 논의하기 위해서 스키패트롤의 임무에 대하여 고찰하였다. 첫 번째의 임무는 사고예방활동이다. 두 번째 임무는 응급처지이다. 세 번째 임무는 현장의 확인 및 보존이다. 마지막 임무는 기록유지 및 보고이다. 스키패트롤의 임무수행은 쾌적한 스키장 환경과 스키의 건전한 발전에 이바지한다고 볼 수 있다. 대중화된 스키가 더 정착되고 발전하기 위해서는 스키패트롤의 임무에 대한 인식의 변화와 법적인 권한을 부여해야 하며, 도덕성 함양을 위한 제도적인 마련도 뒷받침되어야 한다고 판단된다.
