This study is to check on the one hand the relation of order of printed books through the course of the compilation, the publication and the reorganization of the history called Sagiyoungseon and intends to play a role in providing the original copy. As seen in this study, the history called Sagiyoungseon to change the system or rectify the error of retrieval more than 3 times of retrieval only in 3 months has been made by the metal type called Jeongyouja, the history called Sagiyoungseon is reprinted books several times in the Supreme Local Government Office of Youngnam, Honam and Kwanseo. The history called Sagiyoungseon is the book not only bringing about the new change to the text of the history called Siji stagnant for over 1 and half century and but also the book is very meaningful one in the point that the publication of this history book has been performed exquisitely in the period of King Jungjo in Joseon Dynasty.

이 연구는 『史記英選』이 編纂, 刊行, 再編되는 과정을 통해 여러 刊本들의 선후 관계를 파악하는 한편, 正本을 제공하는데 일조하고자 한 것이다. 본 연구에서 살펴본 바와 같이 『사기영선』은 체제를 변경하거나 인출의 오류를 바로 잡기 위해 불과 석 달 만에 丁酉字로 무려 세 차례 이상의 인출이 이루어졌고, 영남․호남․관서의 監營에서 여러 차례 飜刻되었던 서적이다. 『사기영선』은 1세기 반이 넘도록 정체되어 있던 『사기』 텍스트의 새로운 변화를 가져온 책이자 正祖代에 서적 출판이 얼마나 정교하게 이루어지고 있었는지를 살펴볼 수 있다는 점에서도 매우 의미있는 서적이다.
