This article is focus on suitable correction programs of female inmates in Korea. Female inmates did not have a lot of attention in the past. And suitable treatment programs for female inmates were not exist. And female crime increase annually. so Women prisoners are also growing . But women's prison is only one place in korea. The most important part of female inmate is maintenance with their family. Because a lot of female offenders is the mother. In other words, most of the female offenders are mothers those who are in charge of taking care of their children. So. their Imprisonment has a big influence to their children. In korea, So. this study proposed Three kinds of improvement. Firs of all small women's prison need in korea. Because there is only one women's prison in korea. So, many problem have for their correction. For the improvement of female inmate treatment, increasing of small female correctional facilities, diversification of facilities and programs for female inmate treatment. Second, community corrections must be strengthen for Female offenders and Pregnant offenders. Also government and regional organizations should cooperate to solve this problem. Children`s growing is responsible for government's responsibility. Mother's absence is lead to their child other crime. so, it is very important. and, the electronic monitoring system enlarge to female treatment. I think that electronic monitoring system is the suitable treatment for women inmate. because the correction can go after without disconnection with their home or children.

본 논문은 한국에서 여성수감자의 적절한 교정 프로그램을 중점적으로 다루 었습니다.과거에는 여성수감자들이 관심을 많이 받지 못했으며,그들에 대한 적절한 처우개선에 대한 프로그램도 실재하지 않았습니다. 게다가 여성범죄는 해마다 늘어나고 여성범죄자 또한 늘어나고 있습니다. 그러나 여성죄수를 위한 감옥은 한국에 단 한 곳이 있을 뿐입니다. 여성수감 자들에 대한 가장 중요한 부분은 그들 가족과 함께 할 유지 관리 입니다. 왜냐하면 수많은 여성 범죄자들이 어머니이기 때문입니다 다시 말해서 대부분의 . 여성 범죄자들은 아이들을 양육하는데 책임을 지고 있는 어머니들입니다. 그래서 그 들의 수감생활은 아이들에게 많은 영향을 끼치게 됩니다. 본 논문은 세 가지의 개선사항을 제안합니다. 우선 한국 내에 모든 여성 수감 자들을 위한 작은 감옥이 필요합니다.왜냐하면 그들의 처우개선,교정시설, 다 양한 시설, 등 개선사항이 많이 요구되어지는 여성 수감자들의 감옥이 한국에는 한 곳만이 있기 때문이다. 둘째, 공동체적인 교정은 여성제소자와 임신한 재소 자를 위해서 강화되어야 합니다. 또한 정부와 지역단체는 이러한 문제를 해결하 기 위해서 서로 협력해야 합니다. 아이들의 성장 또한 정부에 그 책임이 있습니 다.어머니의 부재는 아이들로 하여금 다른 범죄를 이끌게 합니다.그래서 교정 프로그램은 매우 중요합니다. 교정프로그램으로 전자 모니터 시스템은 여성수감자들로 하여금 가정과 자녀 들과의 관계를 차단하지 않고서도 추적할 수 있음으로 나는 전자 모니터 시스템 이 여성수감자들에 대한 적절한 처우개선 프로그램이라고 생각합니다.
