This paper aims to discuss the problems on liquid deletion that are described in the high school textbooks. Furthermore, the correct way of describing will be proposed for liquid deletion in high school curriculum. Such problems are caused by following Hangul Spelling Regulations in 1933 uncritically. On the other hand, liquids deletion had not received the limelight even in the early 1980s, unlike the synchronic assimilation phenomenons and diachronic phenomenons. Liquids deletion should be described into three aspects as follows; (1) Liquids deletion by phonologically conditioned alternation: s'ɨl+nɨn→s'ɨnɨn s'ɨl+nik'a→s'ɨnik'a (2) Liquids deletion by morphemically conditioned alternation: s'ɨl+o→s'ɨo s'ɨl+ma→s'ɨma (3) Liquids deletion by consonant cluster simplification(syllable structure constraints): s'ɨl+mnida→s'ɨmnida, s'ɨl+n→s'ɨn
