Pastor's sexual abuse brings about disastrous results in every way. It is a betrayal against the One who is calling him to his service and the congregation to which he is called for ministry. It is also a spiritual assault against the church member(s) by violating his or her dignity and autonomy of sexuality. Rather than healing the victim or accusing the perpetrator aftermath, therefore, the prevention of pastor's sexual abuse in advance is much more valuable and economical in saving the church's energy. First of all, pastors and seminarians must learn that sexuality is part of their life and ministry. The stronger their obsessions against sexuality for the sake of "sacred" ministry, the more chances they will get to act out the suppressed desires. Second, pastoral authority and power must be subject to their self-inspection in order to prevent abuse. The acknowledgement of pastoral power helps discern its dynamcs for or against the parishioner and protect her from the blind patriarchal power in the church. Third, pastoral leaders must monitor the countertransference that is unconsciously and deceptively happening within themselves. Last but not least, a new theological focus on the victim will result in revealing the truth and realizing justice.
