This study examined relationship between the major five crimes(murder, robbery, rape, theft and violence) and ele ments of meteorological change(weather, temperature, precipitation, wind velocity and humidity). Elements of meteoro logical change corresponding to the date recorded by a meteorological office and the number of occurrences from Jan uary 1st 2010 to October 19th 2012 collected from major portal sites were used for this study. Based on this data, S PSS 12.0 was utilized to analyze relationship between crimes and elements of meteorological change, allowing us to find out relationship between crimes and elements of meteorological change. This analysis finding is sure to pave th e way for research of this field.

본 연구는 강력 5대범죄(살인, 강도, 강간, 절도, 폭력)와 기상변화의 요소(날씨, 기온, 강수량, 풍속, 습도)의 상관관계 에 대해 검토하였다. 본 연구에서 사용된 데이터들은 포털사이트를 통해 2010년 1월 1일부터 2012년 10월 19일까지 발 생건수와 기상청에서 기록한 해당일의 기상변화의 요소들을 자료로 사용하였다. 이 데이터를 토대로 범죄와 기상변화 요소들과의 상관관계를 분석하기 위해 SPSS 12.0을 활용하였고, 분석을 통해 범죄에 대해 상관관계의 여부를 알 수 있 었다. 이 분석결과를 바탕으로 이 분야의 연구에 중요한 선행연구가 될 것이라 판단된다.
