Hangul are generally not easy to recognize since not only the number of the characters is large and the combination of the strokes in a character is complex but also some of them are inherently similar and confusing. The analysis is required about consonantal characters and vowel characters which compose the Hangul. In this study, the alteration of individual handwriting and vowel on a first consonant rieul change according measurement program and visual method in handwriting identification.

한글은 자음과 모음의 위치, 구성에 따라 변화가 발생하므로 한글을 구성하는 자음과 모음에 대한 분석이 필요하다. 모음변화(ㅏ, ㅕ, ㅡ, ㅗ)에 의한 자음 ㄹ의 변화를 확인하기 위해 성인 10명에게서 채취한 시필을 CAD 프로그램 사용하여 계측된 값을 경험적 방법을 활용 비교하였다. 그 결과 동일한 자음 ‘ㄹ’의 경우에도 결합되는 모음에 의해 변화가 발생하므로 시필자 식별 시에 유의하여야 하며 9개의 특징점을 사용하여 시필자 식별을 한 결과 계측 방법에서는 4명, 경험적 방법에서는 9명이 식별되었다.
