Based on the Buddhism related literature about temple in Yanbian area, this research inspected the Yanbian area Buddhism developing process and depended on the findings of Daegak Temple’s establishment time the position of Seonnong- Dang and it’s scope and the new excavation material, this article conducted the thorough research to Daegak Temple, and the result is as follow: 1. Amongthe temples in Yanbian area, the earliest temples built by Chinese, Korea and Japanese respectively is: Lingbao Temple, which was built in Hun Chun in 1743; Qilseng Temple, which was built in Long Jing in 1777; Bonwensa-kando Temple, which was built in Long Jing in 1921. 2. There are altogether 6 temples were set up before 1909, and 5 temples are Chinese temples and other one is the Korean temple. These temples distributes in Hun Chun, Dun Hua, Long Jing and He Long. 3. The number of the new building temples is the most between 1909 and 1931. The temples built in this period mainly distributed along the Buerhatong River, the Hailan River as well as the Gaya River Basin, which is advantageous for the cultivation. The Chinese temple and Korean temple's quantity gathers increases, the Japanese temple also starts to appear. 4. As influenced by the communism ideological trend which advocated atheism, only 15 temples were set up from 1932 to 1949, which including the 11 Japanese temples set up in Tu Men. It’s related with the rapid development in Tumen from the 30s. The following is the research result of the set up time of Daegak Temple, and the position and area of Seonnong-Dang 1. It's said that Daegak Temple was set up in spring 1927, or on Sep. 11th 1927, and so on. Through my research, the exact time of setting up the Daegak Temple on April 8th, 1927. 2. There areseveral views about the Seonnong- Dang’s position. By using literature analysis and on-the-spot investigation, the author thought nowadays' Longshan village Mingyue Town Antu County for the concretely position of Seonnong- Dang. 3. There are also several views about the area of Seonnong- Dang, and it’s feasibility that it’s tens of thousands of Ping. Regarding the above problem, we should consummate the new material unceasingly, and specially determine the positionof Seonnong- Dang and Daegak Temple from now on. This kind of research will be helpful for the development of Buddhism and the tourist resources in Yanbian area.

본 연구에서는 연변지역 불교관련 문헌들에서 등장하는 사찰을 조사․ 정리한 것을 바탕으로 연변지역 불교의 발전과정을 살펴보았다. 아울러 현재까지 大覺敎會의 설립시기와 禪農堂의 위치 및 규모에 대한 연구 결 과와 새롭게 발굴한 자료를 바탕으로 보다 진일보한 해석을 하고자 하였 다. 그 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 연변지역 사찰 중 중국인, 조선인, 일본인 가장 일찍 설립한 사찰은 각각 1743년에 훈춘에 설립한 靈寶寺, 1777년 화룡 선경대에 설립한 七 星寺, 1921년 용정에 설립한 本源寺間島布敎所이다. 2. 1909년 이전에 설립된 사찰은 도합 6개인데 이중 5개는 중국사찰이 고 1개는 조선사찰이며 일본사찰은 없다. 이들은 각각 훈춘, 돈화, 용정, 화룡에 분포되었다. 3. 1909-1931년 사이에는 가장 많은 수의 사찰이 설립되었다. 이시기 사찰의 분포 특징은 평야가 많아 경작에 유리한 부르하통하와 해란강 및 가야하 유역에 많이 설립되었다. 그중 중국사찰과 조선사찰의 수는 급증 하였고 일본사찰도 나타나기 시작하였다. 4. 1932-1949년 사이에는 무신론을 주창하는 공산주의 사조가 점차 서 민들에게 받아들여지면서 사찰의 설립이 적어져 도합 15개의 사찰이 설 립되었을 뿐이다. 그 중 도문에 일본사찰이 11개 설립되어 압도적인 우 세를 점하였다. 이는 30년대에 도문이 급성장하면서 일본의 세력이 급팽 창하게 되어 일본사찰도 덩달아 이곳에 급증하게 되었다고 사료된다. 다음으로 대각교회의 설립시기와 선농당의 위치 및 면적을 추정한 에 대해 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 대각교회의 설립 시기는 1927년 봄, 1927년 4월 8일, 1927년 9월 11일 등 다양한 설이 존재한다. 그중 1927년 4월 8일설이 가장 정확하다 고 보아진다. 2. 선농당의 위치와 관련하여 여러 가지 설이 존재하는데 필자가 역사 자료의 발굴과 현지답사를 통한 결과 안도현 明月鎭龍山村이 선농당의 구체적인 위치라고 사료된다. 3. 선농당의 면적에 대해서도 다양한 설이 있는데 그 중 수만 坪이라는 설이 비 교적 현실에 가깝다고 사료된다. 상기 문제들과 관련하여 지속적인 사료 발굴을 통하여 선농당과 대각 교회의 위치를 더욱 정확히 비정해야 할 것이다. 이는 앞으로 연변지역 불교의 발전과 관광자원 개발에도 도움이 될 것이다.
