This study aims to find out how the mentoring experiences affect confidence in sports on university students majoring in Taekwondo. The subjects of this study to complete the purpose of this study were students majoring in Taekwondo from Y and K Universities in Gyeonggi area in 2011. The questionnaire was the research tool for this study, and there were total 196 people as the subjects of this study. The data processing was entered individually into a computer according to the coding guideline. After this process, the data was analyzed by SPSS Window ver. 17.0. The frequency analysis was conducted to find personal characteristics of university students majoring in Taekwondo. The content validity, reliability analysis, and factor analysis were conducted to verify the validity and reliability for this questionnaire. The correlation analysis was conducted to find the relationships among each of variables, and T-test was conducted to verify the differences among the variables on the demographic characteristics of participants for this study. The multiple regression analysis was used to find how the mentoring experiences affect the confidence in sports. Through the research methods and result-analysis mentioned above, there are two major results. First, the demographic analysis showed that the socio-psychological function which is the sub-factors of mentoring experience had (statistically) significant difference in sex, also the function related to the career had significant differences in age and exercise experience. Second, the socio-psychological and experience-related functions which are the sub-factors of mentoring experience turned out to have the positive impact on the status and distinction of sports confidence.
