This study aimed to clarify any differences in the blood levels of fatigue inducing substances in rock fishing players between before and after a game. To do so, subjects were assigned to either normal group or obese group on the basis of BMI 25, and statistical analyses with paired t-test were performed to determine inter-group differences. The results of this study are summarized as follows: First, for changes in the blood levels of ammonia, the levels increased after a game than before a game, with significant difference seen in obese group (p<.05). Second, the blood levels of free fatty acids (FFAs) decreased after a game than before a game, with statistically signific ant difference in obese group (p<.01). Third, the blood levels of inorganic phosphate increased after a game compared to those before a game, with no statistically significant difference in both the groups. Fourth, the blood levels of potassium (K+) increased slightly after a game compared to those before a game. No statistically significant difference was found in both the groups. Fifth, the blood levels of sodium (NA) increased slightly after a game compared to those before a game. No statistically significant difference was found in both the groups. Finally, the blood levels of lactic acid increased in both the groups, and statistically significant difference was seen in normal group (p<.01). Based upon the results above, although changes in blood fatigue factors before versus after a rock fishing game were examined in this study, it is expected that a further study of changes in blood and muscle fatigue factors over time will be able to estimate the progress of fatigue during rock fishing activities.
