The purpose of this study is to propose the architectural color design model for farm houses by the environmental design. To proceed this study, the questionnaire survey of the desiring color and the field survey of environmental color condition for farm houses are carried. The results of this study are as followings ; In the case of farm houses, the colors of existing roofs are mainly painted with YR, B (in questionnaire survey) and R, PB, P(in field survey), and those of desiring are surveyed as G, B, P. The colors of existing walls of the houses are mainly painted with Y, YR (in questionnaire survey) and YR (in field surveys), and the desiring ones are surveyed as Y, YR. The colors of existing wall fences of the houses are painted with RP, W, gray(in questionnaire survey) and YR (in field survey), and those desiring are surveyed as W and gray. So the architectural color design for farm houses is established in the view point of environmental design.

본 연구는 농촌주택의 색채 계획을 수립하는데 있어서 환경설계차원에서 고려하고자 하였다. 즉 농촌주택의 색채계획을 수립하는데 있어서 주택 하나만이 아닌 경관측면에서 마을 단위의 차원에서 색채계획을 수행하여 할 것이다. 그리하여 농촌의 이미지를 표출하면서 농촌주택의 분위기를 부여할 수 있도록 설문조사와 대표적인 농촌의 마을과 도서해안 지방의 마을을 case study를 통하여 객관적인 계획을 수립하려 하였으며 이를 근거로 모델을 작성하였다. 조사는 전통한옥마을과 농촌마을, 간척사업으로 이루어진 계화마을, 그리고 도서해안지방의 마을을 대상으로 하였다. 조사는 맑은 날을 선정하여 2012년 3월에서 6월까지 실시하였다.
