This paper was written with the theme of establishing "an educational plan for youths under denominational seminaries" based on the premise of educating youths in "denominational educational institutions" with a unified approach and sharing an effective educational plan to teach Christian education to youths. This premise has important significance in answering the questions of "how to educate youths" and "how our denomination should prepare for the future". In the 21st century, the biggest concern for churches in each denomination is that while we do not want to accept it, the undeniably reality is that youths who are the owners of the future church are noticeably in decline. Not just from a church context, but also from a social context, the many instances of suicide and school violence since the end of 2011 that greatly alarmed our society has led to many youths tragically taking their own lives. In particular, the extreme method in which a middle school student in Daegu took his own life due to school violence was a turning point in our society that made the issue of school violence unignorable. Subsequently, many more instances of untold violence came to light, such as the suicide of a female high school student in Daejon, the suicide of a middle school student in Seoul, a group assault on a middle school student in Incheon, etc., which ultimately led to the implementation of seven major policies against school violence. However, the youth problem continues to be a prominent social issue as it increasingly affects younger ages, involves larger groups and is becoming more violent. Under these circumstances, this paper aims to share an education plan for youths regarding the basic issue of how denominational seminaries can nurture youths through the following: first, with an emphasis on understanding youth; second, listening carefully to youths; third, education that presents a vision and purpose to youths; fourth, education that presents a diverse education method to teach youths; and, fifth, presenting basic subjects to teach youths. This research was based on the essence of Christian education, which is "to foster people who can to see, judge and act according to God's way" and emphasized that no human effort can make these plans to be effective without God's help. If this paper is shared among all denominational seminaries, the future of Daeshin denomination will be very bright.

“교단산하 신학교에서의 청소년을 위한 교육 방안”이라는 주제를 “교단산하 교육기관”에서 청소년들의 교육을 위해 통일성을 가지고 교육을 하자는 것과 청소년들의 신앙교육을 위한 효과적인 교육 방안을 공유하자는 것으로 전제하고 필자는 글을 쓰려했다. 이 전제에는 ‘어떻게 청소년을 교육해야 하는가?’라는 질문에 대한 답을 찾는 것과 ‘우리 교단의 미래를 어떻게 준비해야 하는가?’에 대한 답을 찾는 중요한 의미가 담겨 있다. 21세기를 맞이하여, 각 교파의 교회들마다의 큰 고민은 미래교회의 주인인 청소년들이 교회에서 눈에 띄게 줄어들고 있는 인정하고 싶지 않지만 부인할 수 없는 현실이다. 교회적으로 뿐만 아니라 사회적으로도 작년 2011년 말부터 우리사회를 혼돈 속으로 빠져들게 한 자살과 학교폭력 사건은 여러 명의 청소년들이 자신의 목숨을 스스로 버리는 안타까운 일이었다. 학교폭력의 피해로, 극단적인 방법으로 삶을 포기하여 사회적 파장을 일으킨 대구 한 중학생의 자살은 우리사회에서 학교폭력을 좌시할 수 없는 상황으로 이끄는 전환점이 되었다. 이후 대전 여고생 자살, 서울 중학생 자살, 인천 여중생 집단 폭행 등 각지에서 잠재되어 있던 폭력이 노출되어 결과적으로 7대 학교폭력대책을 마련하는 계기가 되었다. 그렇지만 청소년의 문제는 계속해서 저연령화, 집단화, 흉포화 되어 사회적인 문제로 대두되고 있다. 이러한 상황 속에서, 필자는 청소년을 위한 교육 방안으로서 교단산하 신학교들이 어떻게 청소년들을 양육해야 하는지에 대한 가장 기본적인 문제에 대해 공유하기 위해 첫째, 청소년 이해에 중점을 두는 교육, 둘째, 청소년을 위한 경청사역, 셋째, 청소년에게 비전과 목표를 제시하는 교육, 넷째, 청소년을 가르치기 위한 다양한 교육방법을 제시하는 교육, 다섯째. 청소년을 가르치기 위한 최소한의 교과목 제시하는 교육 등으로 연구하여 제안하려 했다. 물론 기독교교육의 본질은 “이 세상의 모든 일들을 하나님의 방식대로 보고 판단하고 행할 수 있는 사람의 양성이다.” 라는 관점을 가지고 연구해려 했고, 하나님의 도움이 없이 인간적인 노력만으로 이러한 방안들이 효과를 얻을 수 없다는 것도 강조했다. 이 글은 청소년지도자를 위한 교육 방안을 제시하려한 글이다. 이글이 교단산하 모든 신학교들에게 공유된다면, 대신교단의 미래는 밝을 것이다.
