The purpose of this study was to testify the effects of technology contents- based career education program on elementary students' attitudes toward technology. To accomplish this purpose, twenty-eight 6th grade students were selected and the technology contents- based career education program was applied through 20 class times. One-group pretest-posttest design was used for this study. The independent variable was technology contents- based career education program and the dependent variables were elementary school students' attitudes toward technology. The inventory of student's attitude toward technology was used and the t-test in significance level .05 applied. And the qualitative analysis was performed based on the open-ended question and the interview. The results of this study were as follows: First, technology contents- based career education program was effective in enhancing the attitudes toward technology such as the interest of technology, the cognition of technology’s impact, and the attitude toward occupation of technology. Second, some clues that technology contents-based career education program was effective for changing the image and the attitude toward technology were identified.

이 연구는 초등학교 실과 기술 영역 기반의 진로교육 프로그램이 초등학생의 기술에 대한 태도에 어떤 영향을 미치는가를 확인하기 위해 수행되었다. 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위하여 실과 기술영역 기반 진로교육 프로그램 중 20시간 분량의 교육 프로그램을 유의적 표집에 의해 선정된 A초등학교 6학년 한 학급 학생 28명에게 적용하였다. 이 연구는 단일 집단 사전-사후 검사로 수행되었으며, 독립변인은 실과 기술영역 기반 진로교육 프로그램, 종속 변인은 기술에 대한 태도이다. 실과 기술영역 기반 진로교육 프로그램이 초등학생의 기술에 대한 태도에 미친 효과를 검증하기 위하여 유의수준 p<.05 수준에서 t-test를 실시하였다. 또한 기술에 대한 태도 검사지의 개방형 질문에 대한 응답 결과와 인터뷰 내용 분석을 수행하였다. 본 연구 수행 결과를 통해 다음과 같은 결론을 도출할 수 있었다. 첫째, 실과 기술영역 기반 진로교육 프로그램은 초등학생의 기술에 대한 흥미, 기술의 영향에 대한 인식, 기술 분야 직업에 대한 태도 변화에 효과적이다. 둘째, 실과 기술영역 진로교육 프로그램이 초등학생의 기술에 대한 이미지 및 기술에 대한 태도 변화에 효과적이라는 간접적 증거 자료를 확보할 수 있었다.
