The insect fauna in Byunsanbando National Park was summarized to include a total of 15 orders, 187 families, and 1,365 species. Protected species under law, which are recorded to have inhabited in Byunsanbando National Park, include Challia fletcheri, Chrysochroa fulgidissima, Copris tripartitus, and Fabriciana nerippe, all of which belong to rating II endangered species designated by the Ministry of Environment. Also, 87 species were recorded to be endemic species by the Ministry of Environment, 159 species were recorded to be specific species, 23 species were recorded to be species approved to be taken out of the country, and one species was recorded to be a national monument.
