Study on undergraduate's knowledge level of sex and sexually transmitted disease in Gyeongju

The purpose of this study was to survey the undergraduate's knowledge level of sex and sexually transmitted diseases(STDs) in order to provide basic were given to one hundred sixty students from four different university located Gyeong-Ju city. The questionnaires were collected from March to April, 2012. One hundred fifty samples were analyzed for the study(50.7% male, 49.3% female). Collected data were analyzed statistically by percentage, integer, mean, t-test with SPSS WIN 19.0 package program. The results of this study were as follows. ; The percentage of subjects that experienced sexual intercourse was 50.0%(male), 1.8%(female) and there was a difference between the gender. Knowledge of sub-items about STDs(0.66), AIDS-related knowledge(0.65), STDs prevention knowledge(0.61) showed the order. The lowest item was knowledge of anatomy physiology(0.47). Significantly higher levels of sexual knowledge items of male than female were the STDs(p=0.040), STDs prevention knowledge(p=0.004). There was significant differences in STDs prevention knowledge item with sexual experience students than no-experience students(p=0.025).
