The purpose of this paper is to look into plural feature agreement for the adjunct all at LF. This adjunct shows an asymmetry between PRO and lexical NP in requiring the plural subject. In general, the adjunct all is licensed by semantic feature agreement with its subject in plurality at LF. However, the plural feature of all before INFL becomes a formal feature, affected by the formal nature of INFL. Formal feature agreement at LF requires adjacency with the subject, but semantic feature agreement does not. In this manner, we account for the asymmetry between lexical subject and PRO subject. In addition, we assume that PRO can be deleted at LF. Under this assumption, we explain why all agrees with a plural NP across the intervening PRO.
