Scale Development and Importance-Performance Analysis of Selection Attributes in Specialized Hospitals - Focused on the Patients of Orthopedics Specialized Hospitals in Busan - Kim, Su-Hyun․Sul, Hoon-Ku On October 20, 2011, the Ministry of Health and Welfare designated and announced the 99 specialized hospitals among the domestic hospital-class medical institutions of western/oriental medicine. It is hoped that the increase in the use of the Ministry-designated special hospitals will produce a positive effect in the Korean medical community. However, due to the lack of the empirical research on the reason for medical consumers' choice of a special hospital, and expectation and satisfaction with a specialized hospital, the strategy to manage a special hospital requires much information related. This study aims at looking into the hospital choice attribute factor with focus on an orthopedic special hospital, and empirically verifying the importance of an orthopedic hospital choice attribute of using customers among such factors of the hospital choice attribute through IPA analysis. This study can further the meaning to other special hospitals treating other clinical departments than an orthopedic special hospitals.
