The purpose of this study is to develop the drawing representation activity program based on brainstorming and to analyze the effects of the program on children’s drawing representational ability, space perceptional ability, and literacy ability. The drawing representation activity program based on brainstorming maintains objective, educational content, teaching and learning methods, teacher’s role, and evaluation system. The subjects used in this study were 40 children whose mean age is 71 months from two classes in a kindergarten to prove the effects of the program. Two classes were assigned to an experimental group and a control group. ‘The Drawing Representation Inventory’, ‘KEDI-WISC’ and ‘The Construction Meaning Comprehension Test’ were used in the collection of data. A t-test was used to analyze the data. The results revealed significant differences between the post-test scores of the experimental and comparison group. The scores of experimental group were significantly higher on drawing representational ability, space perceptional ability, and literacy ability than the scores of the control group. In conclusion, the drawing representation activity program based on brainstorming, which was developed in this study, is effective in promoting young children’s drawing representational ability, space perceptional ability, and literacy ability.

본 연구의 목적은 브레인스토밍에 기초한 그리기표상활동 프로그램을 개발하고, 개발한 프로그램의 효과를 검증하는데 있다. 브레인스토밍에 기초한 그리기표상활동 프로그램은 목표, 교육내용, 교수-학습 방법 및 평가 체계로 개발하였다. 본 연구에서 개발한 브레인스토밍에 기초한 그리기표상활동 프로그램의 효과를 분석하기 위해 선정한 연구대상은 유치원의 만 5세 유아 총 40명으로 평균월령은 71개월 이었다. 검사 도구는 ‘그리기평가능력 척도’, ‘KEDI-WISC' 그리고 ‘구문 의미 이해 검사‘ 를 사용하여 연구자료를 수집하였다. 실험처치의 효과를 분석하기 위해 수집된 연구자료는 t-검증을 통해 분석하였다. 연구결과, 브레인스토밍에 기초한 그리기표상활동 프로그램에 참여한 실험집단 유아들의 유아의 그리기능력, 공간지각력 및 문해능력의 점수가 통제집단에 참여하였던 유아들의 점수보다 통계적으로 유의하게 높은 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 본 연구결과는 브레인스토밍에 기초한 그리기표상활동 프로그램은 유아의 그리기능력, 공간지각력 그리고 문해능력을 증진시키는데 효과적임을 시사하는 것이라 하겠다.
