is a piece of lyrical work that is not yet reported in academic literature. The is a form of lyrics that reflects women’s life in Korea and the resentment of women’s status at the time. It is recorded in Korean script on a roll of hanji (traditional Korean paper made from mulberrytrees). The author is a woman named “Jang,I-shil,” adescendant of Jang, Mal-sohn of the In-dong Jang family. While there are some debates regarding the time period when the work was written, it is determined to be in October 1966, immediately before the industrialization. This piece of work confirms the creation and existence of women’s literature until recent times among the children and women of Yeong-nam. While takes on the four-paragraph form of introduction, development, turn, and conclusion, the distinction between prologue, body, and conclusion is unclear. The writing has not survived the lyrical-extinction period. Much of its original form has been destroyed, only minimal relic formats of its original structure has been retained. is a traditional form of women’s lyrical literature that tells the story of a woman narrator who leaves her home during her early years, and returns to visit her parents’ home after she receives a letter when she ages. The contents of the discussion also shows the traditional characteristics of other works of women’s lyrical literature. <유향가(遊鄕歌)>는 아직 학계에 보고되지 않았던 새로운 가사 작품이다. 이 논문에서는 작품 소개에 목적이 있으며 그것의 원문과 함께 개략적인 면모를 살펴보았다. <유향가>는 두루마리 한지에 국문으로 기록된 신변탄식류의 규방가사이다. 작자는 장씨 부인이다. 그는 인동장씨(仁同 張氏) 연복군(延福君) 장말손(張末孫, 1431~1486)의 후손이다. 창작 시기는 약간의 혼선이 있지만 산업화 직전인 1960년대에 지어진 것으로 보인다. 이 작품을 통해 근래에 이르기까지 영남 아녀자들 사이에서 규방가사가 창작되어 존속하고 있었다는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. <유향가>는 내용상으로 ‘기승전결’의 4단 구성을 취택하고 있지만, ‘서사’ - ‘본사’ - ‘결사’의 구분이 분명하지 않다. 그것은 가사의 소멸시기에 그것의 온전한 형태를 갖추지 못하고 최소한의 잔존 형식만을 유지하고 있었기 때문이다. <유향가>는 여성 화자가 젊은 나이에 출가하였다가 늙어서 편지를 받고 친정에 다녀오는 사연을 담고 있는 전형적인 규방가사이다. 담론 내용도 다른 규방가사들과 다를 게 없는 전형성을 보이고 있다. 하지만 그것에서는 기존의 규방가사에서 보이는 남존여비나 여필종부와 같은 전통적인 가치 규범이 약화되는 대신에 시대의 변화와 함께 성장된 여권 의식을 확인할 수 있다.
