Goryeobon Shimyobeopmoon owned at Korea University has got a great attention from an academic circles with great fanfare since May, 1973. And the epilogue of it was known for being cut out and attached after it was printed with a metal type. Meanwhile, the original size of Goryeo type which has printed Nammyungcheonhwasangsongjeungdoga in September, 2010 was revealed into the public and the wooden plate, Nammyungcheonhwasangsongjeungdoga reprinted in 1239, was reprinted with Nammyungcheonhwasangsongjeungdoga, Goryeo metal type, as a jeobon. The study focused on comparing and analyzing the epilogue of Shimyobeopmoon with the pansik and letters of Nammyungcheonhwasangsongjeungdoga, the bokgakbon of Goryeo metal type. And then, it showed the relations the epilogue of Shimyobeopmoon and Nammyungcheonhwasangsongjeungdoga. As a result, it is analyzed that the epilogue of Shimyobeopmoon and Nammyungcheonhwasangsongjeungdoga is different in the form of a piece of paper and identical letters. Therefore, even though the epilogue of Goyeobon Shimyoubeopmoon was typeset and printed as an existing assertion, it is judged that it has nothing to do with so-called “Jeungdogaja”, Goryeo metal type.

고려대학교에 소장되어 있는 고려본 『心要法門』은 1973년 5월 세간에 알려지면서 학계에 적지 않은 주목을 받았고 이 책의 발문 한 장은 금속활자로 찍어내어 오려붙여진 것으로 알려졌었다. 한편 2010년 9월에는 『南明泉和尙頌證道歌』를 찍어내었던 고려활자의 실물이 세상에 공개되어 1239년에 重彫된 목판본 『南明泉和尙頌證道歌』가 고려금속활자본 『南明泉和尙頌證道歌』를 저본으로 해서 覆刻된 것으로 확인되었다. 본고는 『心要法門』 跋文과 고려금속활자본의 覆刻本인 『南明泉和尙頌證道歌』의 版式과 글자를 비교 분석하여 『心要法門』 跋文과『南明泉和尙頌證道歌』의 관련성 여부를 밝혀본 것이다. 그 결과 『心要法門』跋文과 『南明泉和尙頌證道歌』는 판의 형태에 있어서 서로 다르며, 또한 동일한 글자의 형태에 있어서도 상이한 것으로 분석되었다. 따라서 고려본 『心要法門』 跋文이 종래의 주장처럼 금속활자로 조판되어 인쇄되었다 하더라도 고려금속활자인 이른바 “證道歌字”와는 어떠한 관계도 없는 것으로 판단되었다.
