The purpose of this study was to investigate about effect of Graded Exercise Test(GXT) on respiratory gas variables in acute normobaric hypoxic chamber. Further more, we tried to secure a data for development of a new LH-TL training medel. The subjects of this study were sixteen male in university tennis players. We observed differences in respiratory gas variables between sea level and hypoxia(2,200m; 16.2% O2) during maximal exercise test. All observed respiratory gas variables were expressed by mean and standard deviation and were analyzed by independent t-test to verify between groups differences. The results are as follows. There were significant reduction(P<.01, P<.05)) in exercise duration time and VO2max at normobaric hypoxia maximal exercise test. But, there were no significant differences in maximal breathing capacity(VE) and maximal heart rate(HRmax) between sea level and acute hypoxia condition. Therefore, we found that training exercise method in normobaric hypocia has the possibility to improve exercise performace. We put forward the several suggestions that later study will have to approach with more detailed and accurate method and try to find the causality between hypcoxia condition and decrement of SaO2, heart rate and gas exchange in pulmonary alveolus.
