The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of personal and job characteristics on job satisfactions of police employees in Korean society. The data used in this study were self-reported survey data. A total of 456 selected at police in Seoul, Gyeonggi Area. We utilized the following statistical methods to analyze these data: Correlation and Multiple Regression Analysis. Major findings of our research are as follows. Consequently, the data supported the hypotheses that individual and job characteristics affected on police' job satisfactions. There is a correlation between police' educational levels and their job satisfactions: the higher educational levels, the lower job satisfactions. The unmarried police are more satisfied with their job than the married ones. And The higher the SES of the workers is, the higher their job satisfactions becomes. From our study, it is implied that future research should attempt to develop a more refined model on police' job satisfactions.
