This paper is designed to analyse the ecological discourses of the East-Sea Rim regional studies in Japan.Also, through the analyse the aim and the practices of the ecological discourses of Japan Seaology, this paper has an ultimate purpose of investigating the meaning and limits of Japan Seaology. The research contents are following. First, this paper analyzes about "The New Century of Japan Seaology" series which was published by Japan Seaology Promotion Organization. Secondly, for the analysis of Japan Seaology, I focus on the vision and viewpoint of the East-Sea Rim regional studies in Japan. Third, I examine how an ecological discourse is practiced. Lastly, I critically consider the meaning and limits of ecolization of the East-Sea Rim regional studies in Japan. Through the critical insight of Japan Seaology, henceforth it tried to find the advanced ways in the East-Sea Rim regional studies.

本研究は日本の環東海地域研究である‘日本海学’から生態談論を分析し、‘日本海学’の談論的指向点や実践の実際を分析して、その意義や限界の糾明に究極的な目的がある。 具体的な研究の内容は次のとおりである。一、本研究の分析対象は日本海学推進機構が発刊した󰡔日本海学の新世紀󰡕シリーズ全8巻である。二、‘日本海学’の分析のためにまず日本の環東海地域研究のビジョンや研究観点を調べた。三、‘日本海学’のビジョンや観点を基に実際の生態談論がどのように実践されているかを分析した。四、このような実際的分析を通じ日本の環東海地域談論の生態化の持つ意義や限界を調べた。このような‘日本海学’の批判的省察を通じ今後、環東海地域研究が進んでいく発展的方案を模索した。
