MICE industry, which is called the flower of the tourism industry, has had a significant impact in manyother industries. Korea's MICE industry also has made great strides with advancement of the tourism industry. But, Korea's MICE industry has grown a lot in a short period of time. MICE industry's competitiveness in quality is still not goodcompared with other countries. Korea still needs to be improved to strengthen the international competitiveness of MICE industryand develop MICE industry in a hardware perspective as well as a software perspective. This study analyzes the status of Korea's MICE industry and suggests improvement in order to activate MICE industry. In particular,support policy measures should be prepared to solve the various problems such as the problems of the related laws, inefficient support system, MICE industry development plan, MICE industry's growth potential, balanced growth of the domestic MICE industry which is regionally concentrated etc.

本研究では韓国のMICE 産業産業の現況と支援政策の成果を分析し、制度的な改善方案を提示することによってMICE 産業の活性化方案を示していこうと考えた。特に、関連法制度の二元化と非効率的な支援体系の問題、MICE 産業の質的量的発展の企画、MICE 産業成長潜在力の向上、生産性の向上、付加価値の向上、外貨獲得の向上、産業間シナジー効果の向上の問題、地域別で偏重された国内MICE 産業の均衡的成長の問題、MICE 産業の差別化ないし特性化戦略の問題、MICE 産業に対する広報方式とマーケティング改善の問題などを含む制度的支援政策方案を備えていかなければならないとい点を模索していく。
