In this study, we investigated effects of oriental herb extras contained cream in moisture contents of skin. To perform clinical trials, we produced nine kinds oriental herb extracts contained cream. The cream was manufactured as the cosmetic formulation of basic prescription by adding oriental herb extracts. Stable quality of cream was maintained until the clinical test was finished. And, the whole creams, except for the cream added by only pomegranate extract, maintained stable slightly acid for pH. After applying the cream, it is evaluated positively as the skin softness and fresh moisturizer. In clinical trails, the moisture content after the applying than more than before the applying by nearly two times. And after 1 hour, moisture content was reduced drastically and after 2-6 hours, moisture content was continuously reduced. Interestingly, participants applied oriental herb extract contained cream maintained high moisture content than applying basic cream. In the future, it should be necessary to study on the effect of basic cosmetics containing oriental extracts on skin’s changes of moisture content in comparison with basic cosmetics whose main material is chemical material after manufacturing oriental cream added by oriental extracts and functional cosmetics’ material together.
