This study aims at applying elegance image to nail art assessed as an area of art, and resurfacing woman’s beauty. The article explored approaches exemplifying the photos of elegance image, looking into correlation of nail art design scope and expression, introducing elegance image into the motive of nail art design, and researching into and developing nail art as a fi eld of design with aesthetic beauty and artistry . This study could fi nd that proper use of soft color or grayish color creates sensitive and elegant feeling, and arranging similar colors expresses a typical elegance image. Elegance image is mixed with refined, gracious, and luxurious image, giving relatively simple and gentle feeling, which can be expressed in nail art design in a various technique and form. Thus producing nail art design is signifi cant in harmonious production of color and image, and various studies on image expression is thought to steadily proceed.
