The purpose of this study was to develop the elementary biotechnological education textbook using TRIZ method. The methods of this study were literature review, evaluation of practical arts experts, and field test. On the other hand, the qualitative analysis is also done to compensate the qualitative analysis through the researchers' observation and students' portfolio/statements. The results obtained from this study are as follows: First, contents were collected and re-structured, that were associated between biotechnology-related contents of the 7th and 2007 revised curriculum and TRIZ method that was appropriate for elementary school students level and then TRIZ method-based elementary biotechnological education textbook was developed. Second, the application of TRIZ method-based elementary biotechnological education textbook had a positive effect on improvement in elementary school students' attitude to and interest in biotechnology. Third, it was shown that the more students had interest in biotechnology, the higher their attitudes to biotechnology were after the application of TRIZ method-based elementary biotechnological education textbook. Fourth, it was found that students showed much interest in biotechnology while conducting biotechnological education textbooks developed through qualitative analysis and that such much interest had a positive effect on change in understanding of, attitude to and interest in biotechnology. In conclusion, TRIZ method-based elementary biotechnological education textbook has a positive effect on pre- and post-test of elementary school students. It is demanded that the more comprehensive studies on this studyshould be done, linking teaching and learning method as a follow-up activity.

본 연구는 TRIZ 기법에 기반한 초등학교 고학년용 생명기술교육 학습자료를 개발한 다음, 이를 초등학생에게 적용하여 생명기술에 대한 태도와 흥미도에 대한 효과를 검증하였다. 이를 위하여 선정된 연구대상 학생들에게 12차시에 걸쳐 개발된 학습자료를 적용하였다. 사전·사후 검사지를 이용하여 수집된 자료들을 이용한 연구검증은 I-STATistics 통계 프로그램을 이용하여 결과를 분석하였다. 그리고 정량적 분석을 보완하기 위하여 학생들의 학습태도를 관찰 및 학생들의 포트폴리오와 진술을 통해 정성적 분석을 실시하였다. 본 연구를 통해 얻은 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 제 7차 및 2007 교육과정의 생명기술 관련 내용과 초등학생 수준에 알맞은 TRIZ 기법에 연관된 내용을 추출하고 재구성하여 TRIZ 기법에 기반한 초등 생명기술교육 학습자료를 개발하였다. 둘째, TRIZ 기법에 기반한 초등 생명기술교육 학습자료의 적용은 초등학생의 생명기술에 대한 태도와 흥미도 함양에 있어 긍정적 영향을 미쳤다. 셋째, TRIZ 기법에 기반한 초등 생명기술교육 학습자료를 적용한 후에 생명기술에 대한 흥미도가 높은 학생일수록 생명기술에 대한 태도가 높게 나타났다. 넷째, 정성적 분석을 통해, 개발된 학습자료를 통한 생명기술교육을 진행하는 동안 학생들은 생명기술에 대해 많은 관심을 보였으며, 이러한 관심이 학생들에게 생명기술에 대한 이해도와 태도 및 흥미도 변화에 긍정적 영향을 미치게 되었음을 알 수 있었다. 결론적으로 TRIZ 기법에 기반한 초등 생명기술교육 학습자료는 초등학생들의 생명기술에 대한 태도와 흥미도 함양에 긍정적 효과를 나타났다. 따라서 본 연구에서 개발된 학습자료의 개선을 위한 보다 심층적인 연구 및 체계적인 교수·학습 활동에 대한 후속연구가 필요하다고 사료된다.
