In the present study, we exhibits future research directions by analyzing the previous literature on performance determination of Korean firms entered China. The empirical studies on performance determination of Korean firms entered China were analyzed the impact on performance with the static perspective. Further, those studies did not represent the characteristics of Korean firms as late movers in the Chinese market well. Moreover, studies on Korean firms, compared to those on foreign firms, have been relatively monotonous, and analytical results of Korean firms have not been systematically accumulated well. Hence, future research should be complemented and developed in two directions. Firstly, as the perspective of an empirical study, scholars should analyze the impact on performance by integrating multiple theories with a dynamic perspective on the basis of a variety of research approaches. Secondly, as the perspective of a theoretical study, researchers should develop novel variables that may represent proprietary features of Korean firms through exploratory studies.

본 연구에서는 중국 진출 한국기업 성과결정에 관한 기존의 연구들을 분석하여 향후 연구 과제를 제시하고 있다. 중국 진출 한국기업의 성과결정에 관한 기존의 실증연구들은 정태적인 관점에서 성과에 미치는 영향을 분석하고 있고 중국 시장에서 후발주자로서의 한국기업의 특성을 반영하지 못하고 있다. 또한 한국기업의 연구는 해외기업 연구에 비해 성과결정에 관한 접근방식이 상대적으로 단일함은 물론 연구결과에 대한 축적이 이루어지지 않고 있다. 따라서 향후 연구에서는 두 가지 방향에서 보완 및 발전이 이루어져야 할 것이다. 하나는 실증적 측면에서 여러 가지 이론들을 통합하여 동태적인 관점에서 다양한 접근방식으로 성과에 미치는 영향을 분석하여야 하며, 다른 하나는 이론적 측면에서 탐색적인 연구를 통하여 한국기업의 고유한 특성을 반영할 수 있는 새로운 변수를 개발하여야 한다.
