This paper examines the effects on commitment and relational investment of social capital, which is composed of social ties, trust, and goal congruence, for export channels. The data is collected from 54 electronics export corporations which are members of the Electronic Industries Association of Korea. For the hypothesis testing. Multiple regression analysis is used after the reliability and validity test. The analysis result shows that 'trust' is significantly related to 'commitment' and 'commitment' is related to 'relational investment' for export channels, but other factors are not.
Until now, most of the studies related have focused on the antecedents and constructs of social capital, or effects on the satisfaction of relationships. They never explained relationship between social capital and behavior of corporations. On the contrary, this study shows the mechanism and effect on commitment and investment of social capital.

본 연구에서는 한국 수출제조기업과 해외 수입상간의 수출경로에서 사회적 결속, 신뢰 그리고 목표일치성과 같은 사회적자본이 몰입과 관계 투자에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지에 대해서 실증 분석하였다. 연구가설은 157개 수출제조기업을 대상으로 한 설문조사에서 최종적으로 유효하다고 판단된 54개 기업의 응답자료를 토대로 신뢰성과 타당성을 검토한 후에 다중회귀분석법을 사용하여 검증하였다.
연구결과, 사회적 자본 중 수출제조기업의 해외 수입상에 대한 신뢰만이 몰입과의 관계에서 유의한 정의 관계를 보였으며, 수출제조기업의 몰입 증가는 해외 수입상을 위한 관계적 투자를 증가시키는 것으로 나타났다. 아울러 기존 연구에서는 거래비용이론 하에서 이산적인 거래관계가 유통경로 구성원간의 관계를 주로 연구하였다. 그러나 본 연구에서는 장기적 관계하에서 사회적 자본과 같은 관계적 특성이 기업행동에 영향을 미치는 매커니즘과 역할을 살펴보았다는 점에서 의의가 있다.
