In order to preach the biblical characters according to the original intention of the biblical text, preacher need to access and interpret them with the comprehensive interpretative strategy. Because the biblical characters appear in the narrative genre, preacher need to interpret them in terms of the narrative interpretation strategy. In addition, preacher should interpret them with the redemptive historical perspective because the biblical characters are witnessing and responding he redemptive history of God which penetrates the whole Scripture from Genesis to the Revelation of John. The Bible presents the divine revelation about the redemptive history of God which is at its zenith in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The Biblical characters take the role to respond and witness the redemptive history of God which has been accomplished in their own redemptive historical situation whether in the positive position or the negative position. Therefore preacher to preach the biblical character according to the biblical perspective should interpret them in terms of the redemptive history of God which penetrates both the whole Scriptures and its own redemptive historical situation, so as to acquire the redemptive historical main idea of the biblical text.
