Korea have the national accreditation system for social enterprise which is very rare around world. According to the Social Enterprise Promotion Law, government give the accreditation to applicant organizations which succeed in passing seven criteria. Nowadays there are debates about whether each criterion is appropriate for promoting social enterprises in Korea. In this paper I explain the reason why the accreditation system was introduced and the evaluation of three-years experience. Three issues about criteria for accreditation are examined and new directions for accreditaion system are proposed.
